The Shriver family has been dedicated to serving others, and Beaver Shriver is driven to continue this tradition by giving his time and financial support to many organizations including Special Olympics, Best Buddies, The Miracle League, Care2Tri, Ducks Unlimited, Trout Unlimited and numerous local community service organizations. He founded the Tuesday Social Club, a weekly get together for people with special needs; he established the Bath County Virginia Farmers' Market; he volunteered as a firefighter, EMT, ice hockey coach and rescue dive team leader; and he started and chaired several wildlife conservation organization chapters.
Beaver's career has been all about creating exceptional experiences. He has started and overseen operations at numerous businesses including four retail shops, a fly fishing guide service, an ice hockey school, a real estate rehabilitation and management company, a bodycare product manufacturing company, and numerous others.
He has fly fished around the world from The Seychelles in the Indian Ocean to Midway Island in the Pacific, and he has helped friends and clients do the same.Beaver now owns and operates a small business marketing and publishing company, The Shriver Group based in Sarasota (and part time on the bonefish flats at his home on Kamalame Cay, Bahamas).
His clients range from international fly fishing lodges to specialty food markets to entrepreneurs and artists.
