Meet the founder
Beaver Shriver
Beaver is an entrepreneur and the founder of Inclusion Revolution . His commitment to people with IDD began when he was 9 years old and volunteering at early Special Olympics events. Years later, he brought that commitment into business by creating and operating Rise Up Cafe in Sarasota.
Rise Up employed 35 adults with IDD and trained more than 350 others. It showed what an inclusive business could accomplish, while revealing a larger challenge: training people did not guarantee that other businesses would hire them.
That lesson led Beaver and Inclusion Revolution toward an Integrated Jobs Program built around employer relationships, participant preparation, job coaching, and continued support. Through Shriver Group Consulting, he helps other communities apply what he has learned from both models.

Inclusive enterprise
Rise Up Cafe
Our coffee and ice cream shop employed 35 adults with IDD and trained more than 350. Running it taught us about job design, staff training, hospitality, fundraising, operations, and the demands of sustaining a mission-driven business.

Inclusion Revolution
Our nonprofit works with employers to identify jobs, prepare participants, and provide coaching and support at work. In 2026, it reported 20 participants placed in paid jobs and 12 employer partners.
