Who We Are

The Shriver Group is a small, mission-driven consultancy based in Sarasota, Florida. We focus on one thing: helping adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) build skills, earn wages, and belong at work and in the community.

We design, launch, and support inclusive initiatives like Inclusion Revolution, a nonprofit championing integrated employment, and Inclusion Works, a consulting program that helps employers and communities hire and support exceptional talent with IDD.

Along the way, we draw on decades of experience in storytelling, design, hospitality, and nonprofit leadership to help good ideas grow into sustainable, impactful programs.

Meet Beaver Shriver

For Beaver, success has always been measured not only by what he builds, but by the opportunities he creates for others. Raised in the Shriver family, whose legacy gave rise to the Special Olympics movement, service and inclusion have been woven into his life from the very beginning. At just nine years old, he began volunteering as a timer at Special Olympics swim meets, where he witnessed firsthand the transformative power of inclusion and the extraordinary potential of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, a lesson that continues to guide his work today.

Over the years, Beaver has founded and led a diverse range of ventures, from retail stores and a fly-fishing guide service to an ice hockey school. Since 1996, he has published more than 100 luxury magazines and upscale travel publications, developing a unique ability to build brands, shape public perception, and inspire meaningful change.

Today, through The Inclusion Revolution, Beaver combines his entrepreneurial experience with his lifelong commitment to service to expand employment opportunities and advance inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

His vision is a future where ability is recognized, potential is realized, and every individual has the opportunity to contribute, belong, and succeed.
